Premier Pickleball League to Select 12 Iconic Host Venues for 2025 Season
Jim SThe Premier Pickleball League (PPL), Malaysia’s first professional pickleball league, is now accepting applications from court owners to be part of its 2025 season.
With 12 elite teams, 12 iconic host venues, and a total RM300,000 prize pool, the league is set to reshape the landscape of pickleball in the region. Selected venues will serve as the home base for one of the league’s teams and host key matches throughout the season.

What Is PPL.Asia?
PPL.Asia (Premier Pickleball League Asia) is a regional platform dedicated to growing the sport of pickleball across Asia. By organizing high-standard tournaments and building a structured pro circuit, PPL.Asia aims to elevate local talent, foster professional teams, and connect venues to a wider, fast-expanding community. The league has quickly become a go-to name among players and enthusiasts, blending sportsmanship, competitive spirit, and regional pride.
What to Expect in the 2025 Season
The upcoming season will feature:
- 12 professional teams competing in men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles
- A maximum of 2 international players allowed per team
- Player rating requirements: DUPR 4.0+ for men, 3.7+ for women
- Live coverage and real-time updates through Sport Arena and partner platforms
- An estimated RM2 million in total media exposure value
Who Can Apply?
PPL.Asia is currently accepting preliminary applications from court owners who meet the following criteria:
- Located in Penang, Johor Bahru, or Selangor
- Minimum of 4 pickleball courts (30x60 ft)
- Spectator-friendly viewing area
- Able to form and represent a home pro team
Do note that this is a preliminary registration and submission does not guarantee selection. All entries will be reviewed and shortlisted by the PPL tournament board.
