During DUPR's presentation at the KL Pickleball Summit 2025 organized by Courtsite, Tito Machado and Kevin Kim confirmed that DUPR Plus, their premium subscription service is scheduled to officially launch in May 2025.

This move represents DUPR’s next phase of growth as they shift toward offering advanced features while keeping their core rating system free to all players.

Here’s a breakdown of what DUPR Plus will offer.

What is DUPR Plus?

DUPR Plus is a paid subscription service designed for players, clubs, and organizers who want deeper insights, exclusive perks, and a cleaner user experience.

New features introducing:

  • Advanced Player Analytics: Subscribers will get access to detailed match statistics, trend reports, skill progression charts, and comparative benchmarking against other players locally and globally.
  • Ad-Free Experience: The free version of the DUPR app currently contains advertisements to support platform operations. DUPR Plus will allow players to enjoy a completely ad-free user experience.
  • Exclusive Tournament Access: DUPR Plus members will have early access or priority registration for premium Minor League Pickleball events, collegiate competitions, and special showcase tournaments around the world.
  • Enhanced Club and Event Tools: Club owners using DUPR Plus will be able to unlock premium management features such as:
    • Custom tournament formats
    • Direct messaging to players
    • Real-time event analytics
  • Early Access to New Features:
DUPR Plus users will be the first to access upcoming tech updates, including the P2 algorithm features like “connectivity-based” ranking improvements.

Pricing Strategy (what was implied at KL Summit)

While specific pricing was not officially announced at KL Summit 2025, DUPR emphasized that:

  • The basic DUPR app (ratings, match posting, event tracking) will remain free.
  • DUPR Plus will be optional, meaning no player will lose access to their rating history or match results if they choose not to subscribe.
  • The pricing is expected to be affordable and in line with similar sports tech platforms globally, likely in the range of USD $5–$10 per month, based on similar previous models.

Why DUPR Plus Matters for Malaysia’s Players

Given Malaysia's position as the fastest-growing DUPR market worldwide, DUPR Plus is especially timely:

  • Malaysian players and clubs already show high engagement (15 matches per user average), meaning there's a strong base ready to benefit from deeper analytics and competition opportunities.
  • Elite juniors aiming for Minor League or Collegiate pathways will use DUPR Plus to better track their progress and build competitive player profiles.

In Machado's words:

"We want to make sure players have the tools to pursue any pathway they choose — amateur, collegiate, or pro. DUPR Plus will make that possible while keeping the sport accessible for everyone."

Why Malaysia Matters in the Global Pickleball Conversation

Perhaps the most powerful moment came when Tito Machado shared how Malaysia is now being discussed internationally among the pickleball elite:

"In the U.S., people are talking about Malaysia. There’s a real buzz around what’s happening here."

With the 2032 Olympics on the horizon as a potential showcase for pickleball, Malaysia’s strong grassroots development could soon translate into global athletic success, possibly even Olympic medals.

The message from the KL Pickleball Summit 2025 was unmistakable:
Malaysia is not just catching up, it is leading.

With DUPR’s technology and global network now firmly supporting its rise, the future of Malaysian pickleball looks brighter than ever.
